CHOOSE FROM A LARGE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES
Explore the local cuisine
In Dalmatia you can enjoy the typical Mediterranean cuisine and you can hardly miss by choosing a restaurant or tavern for an excellent lunch or dinner.
We recommend you to read the reviews on Tripadvisor before choosing a restaurant. Nevertheless, we decided to recommend some personally verified restaurants on the island of Murter.
Fine Food Murter
Fine Food Murter is a family restaurant that opened its doors in 1994. The restaurant serves mainly Mediterranean dishes and seafood prepared from fresh and local ingredients.
During the high season we recommend you to book a table one day before your visit.
Konoba Boba
The only restaurant on the island mentioned in the Michelin Guide. It serves mainly seafood made from fresh local ingredients.
Konoba Kanata
What makes this restaurant special is that it does not have a fixed menu, but offers different dishes every day depending on what fresh ingredients were available at the market. We recommend to make a reservation during the high season!
Boat rental, boat excursions
The camp has its own marina, which facilitates exploration both for those who have their own boat and for those who just want to rent one. In the high season, you can find a representative of the travel agency at the camp reception, where you can rent a boat or choose an excursion from their offer. The island of Murter offers a wide range of activities: Boat trips, sailing, diving, snorkeling and fishing.
The island of Murter, also called the gateway to the Kornati Islands, is an excellent starting point for the Kornati National Park, Telašćica Nature Park and other islands that are part of the archipelago. Near the island of Vrgada you can usually find and watch dolphins. Dolphin watching is also offered as a guided tour.
You can also take a boat to the entrance of the Krka National Park (Skradin), which will enchant you with its beautiful wild waterfalls, medieval fortresses and monasteries and archeological sites.
Cycling
Low rainfall, favorable temperatures and Mediterranean climate are the reasons for an active cycling vacation on Murter in May, June and September.
There are many well-maintained cycling routes in and around Murter. You can choose easy, medium or difficult cycling routes along the coast on the island and on the mainland, where you can get easily by crossing the bridge. They are 5-20 km long and the highest altitude difference is 125 m, which is also the highest point on the island. For those who are a little more fit, we recommend the route from Murter to Vransko lake, where you can observe rare bird species and experience untouched nature. In the Vransko Lake Park there are more than 50 km of cycling routes. The popular route starts at the church in the old town of Vrana and goes up to the Majdan, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire reserve.
Scuba Diving
Tramonto diving center is located in the nearby town of Tisno. If you are new to diving, there is a diving school there. However, experienced divers can join guided tours that are offered twice a day. The most experienced divers are given instructions on where to find the wreckage of both ships and planes.
Sports activities in the camp
The camp offers various sports activities for the whole family. There are tennis, mini golf, table tennis and basketball courts. You can rent rackets, balls and clubs at the reception.
The quiet bay is also ideal for learning how to swim or surf, which is made possible by the sports school DSR Adria Sport. There you can also rent surfboards, soups, kayaks or mini catamarans.
For those who just want to have some fun in the water floating water park is also available.
Aquapark Dalmatia - Šibenik
If you feel like crazy water fun, visit the small water park in Šibenik Aquapark Dalmatia. Ride down the endless slides and enjoy the luxury of water and active vacation on the water. Fun for all generations.
Walking/hiking and running
Enjoy the view of the sea and the surrounding islands and take a walk or run your morning run by the sea to Tisno, Betina or Murter. In spring and autumn you can take a long hike to the surrounding areas.
You can also take a longer day trip to Krka National Park, which is 50 minutes away, or Vransko Lake Nature Park, 40 minutes away. If you are returning home via Zagreb, we can highly recommend a visit to the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Promenade from the campsite to Tisno
An attractive 950 m long promenade leads from campsite Lovišća to Tisno, where you can enjoy an ice cream or dinner. The straight promenade that runs along the sea will enchant you. If you love longer walks by the sea, you can continue your walk to the Jezera and then return to the campsite over the hill. The path is ideal for cyclists, runners or hikers.
Promenade from the town of Jezera to Tisno
A beautiful 2 km long promenade from Tisno to Jezera connects the two towns.
The promenade stretches along its entire length in untouched nature. The path leads along the sea through a pine grove. Along the path there are also benches where you can relax and enjoy the view of the nearby islands. It is ideal for cyclists, runners or walkers.
Promenade from the camp to Betina
From the camp towards Betina winds a 5 km long old asphalt road, most of which is closed to all traffic. With a few smaller slopes, it offers an ideal change of pace for a morning run or family bike ride to Betina and back.
